Reading this while sitting on my stump in front of my computer, with my iPad next to me, made me very, very sad. Time to move.

We're in!! This is something that we've been talking about for years. Education is key - both for parents/guardians and the kids. It's amazing the difference in a kid's attitude toward food when they understand what food can do to you and/or for you. We've had great success, both personally and professionally, with this strategy.

Thanks for founding the United States of Food. I LOVE it!! We'll definately be in touch with our local schools, etc. - and then we'll be in touch with you!

Congratulations on your Real Food launch into the community! The urban and rural small farm/garden-to-table and school movement is an exciting time in our cultural evolution...sort of picking up where we left off in the 1940's but with an extra twist of joy as more and more people re-awaken their senses to the beauty of growing, harvesting, tasting and making meals together. It's also another fantastic infusion of creativity to this region...to be known for our incredible local food is an amazing legacy to part of... now...time to totally transform public school lunch...one school at a time.
